Barium Fluoride 1. Uses: It can be applied in optical glass, ceramic coloring materials, glass optical fibers, laser generators, fluxes and preservatives etc. Besides, it can be used in scintillation crystal, X-ray and high-energy particles detecting. 2. Characteristics: Molecular formula: BaF2 Melting point: 1368 Molecular weight: 175.34 Density: 4.83 g/cm3 It is white powder, almost insoluble in water and soluble in HCl, HNO3 and anhydrous liquid HF.
